Food Vouchers | Available from Wednesday…help spread the word
26/10/2020
Food vouchers to cover the October half term, designed to support families in receipt of free school meals, will be available from Children’s Centres from Wednesday.
Please help us to spread the word that food vouchers for families who are eligible for free school meals, will be available from this Wednesday, 28 October.
Liverpool City Council was only able to place the order for vouchers on Friday (23 October) when the government announced they would not be providing them.
Children’s Centre staff are working hard to get ready to welcome families on Wednesday.
Eligible parents/carers will receive a text message or email from their school(s) which they will need to show on the day.
If they have not received a message but still believe they are eligible, Children’s Centre staff will be able to check eligibility on their behalf.
Please note: Liverpool’s Children’s Centres can only distribute vouchers to families who live in Liverpool. If a family lives in another borough – such as Sefton or Knowsley – but attends a Liverpool school, they must apply to their own local authority for vouchers.
